nikon z9 firmware update 2.0- A photographer’s delight

Nikon z9 firmware update : Amazing news for photographers and videographers! Nikon has introduced a major new firmware update for its flagship full frame mirrorless camera- Nikon Z9. With the new firmware update 2.0, Nikon Z9 is all set to become a powerful camera, with added ability to capture 12-bit internal Raw video. Apart from 8K/60 Raw capture, a series of features including waveform displays and a 120 Hz viewfinder mode are also added. A pre-release photo capture button is included which will help capture a second of action before the shutter button is fully pressed.

The changes are so extensive, that they could have together supported a whole new camera in itself.

Videography is all set to get a new face lift with Nikon firmware update 2.0. It has made the camera a serious video powerhouse. Functions and interface adjustments are tuned specially for videographers. Footage can be captured at 8.3k at 60 frames/ second in the N- Raw format.

Nikon claims that with this update the camera can capture largest possible colour depth. Editors and colourists have an added advantage of getting a huge amount of dynamic range. Anything shot in N-Raw has an MP4 proxy file.

A waveform monitor is being added that allows shooters to know the brightness and position of subject. You can also see the video recording settings at a glance with video info display.

Along with the software improvements, Nikon plans to improve its physical appearance as well. New camcorder style grip and a new first party CF express card is also being introduced.

Not only videographers but photographers can also rejoice on various added features which make the camera photographer friendly. The firmware update is free and can be downloaded from Nikon’s website on April 20^th.
