How to become a model

How often should you get a modelling portfolio done?

A good portfolio is your passport to the modelling industry. Under the guidance of an expert portfolio photographer , like Praveen Bhat, you can prepare for a big leap straight into this career.

Once you have a comprehensive portfolio in hand reach out to the various ad and modelling agencies for auditions. Such a folio holds good and valid for around 8 to 10 months. You can use it anywhere to showcase your best impressions ever.

Just take care to keep yourself well maintained and groomed up during this course. It’s important to maintain your current looks for at least a year so that your looks actually match with those in the portfolio. So, follow a strict selfcare and grooming regime. Don’t fiddle much with your hair style or appearance, so that you don’t end up as a total surprize in front of the ad agencies.

If at all a total change in looks and body type is what you want, then go for a Re- portfolio shoot.

The thumb rule is – your portfolio should be a reflection of your real self. So, present yourself in the auditions as you are portrayed in your folio.

A career in modelling may demand variations and fresh looks with passing time. Hence, you may require a fresh portfolio in due course of time.

Try to make the best use of your portfolio as it is your CV or resume for a promising career in modelling.

Wish You Luck!
